Sacred Abyss Ritual

Jun 13, 2025

This ritual is an intuitive descent into your own knowing, calling upon the power of the Divine Feminine, the Moon, the Waters, and the Ancestors. Perfect for shadow work, healing, and accessing unseen support.

🌑✨ COSMIC FRIDAY THE 13TH RITUAL

Theme: Descent, Surrender, and Sacred Power in the Unknown

🔮 Suggested Timing:

Twilight or after dark (to align with lunar/mystic frequencies)
Or between 1:00 AM–3:00 AM to align with Yin Water energy

🕯️ Supplies Needed:

  • A black or deep indigo candle (protection + descent)

  • A bowl of water with rose or mugwort (intuitive connection)

  • A mirror or obsidian scrying surface

  • A small bone, shell, or item from nature (symbol of the earth and ancestors)

  • A journal or parchment

  • Your voice

🐍 Ritual Steps:

1. Create a Sacred Abyssal Space

Dim the lights. Light your candle. Place the bowl of water before you with the natural object inside.

Breathe deeply. With each exhale, imagine sinking deeper into your own subconscious, until you're rooted in stillness.

Whisper:

“I descend not to lose myself, but to remember.”

2. Mirror Gaze or Water Scry

Gaze into the water or mirror and ask:

“What within me is ready to be reclaimed from the depths?”

Let images, emotions, or words rise. Don’t judge — just witness. Allow your own “abyss” to speak. If you cry, let the tears bless the water.

3. Write What You’re Releasing (and Rebirthing)

On your parchment or journal, write two columns:

  • What I leave in the abyss

  • What I rise with renewed

Example:

  • I leave behind: self-doubt, fear of being seen, looping thoughts

  • I rise with: sacred knowing, quiet confidence, lunar insight

4. Speak to the Snake + the Shadow

With your hand over your heart and the other near the bowl, say:

“Great Mystery. Shadow Sister. Snake of Transformation.

I do not fear the dark. I am forged within it.

Let what is false dissolve. Let what is true return to me.

I now claim the power of my sacred silence.”

5. Close + Offer to the Waters

Extinguish the candle. Pour the water into the earth or into running water (if you’re near a stream or bath). Thank your guides and yourself.

Optional Add-On Practices:

  • Play binaural beats or womb music during the ritual

  • Follow with dream journaling — ask for a sign or message overnight

  • Sleep with your journal or mirror under your pillow
